I am a singer and pianist living in West Yorkshire. I specialize in performing songs to create a warm, unobtrusive atmosphere and transition between pieces seamlessly, to maintain this throughout each performance. I love to play acoustically (without a microphone or speakers) in intimate settings, but also have a keyboard and PA to play at venues without an in-house piano.
Whilst music has always been a large part of my life, it was only in 2017 that I decided I wanted to pursue music as a career. Since then, I have been learning, performing and writing music as often as I can. I am classically trained on the piano (and ‘cello) to grade 8 and continue to take vocal coaching to further improve my singing technique.
I enjoy song writing, and love to experiment with combining interesting chord progressions, rhythm and soulful lyrics. I like to add elements of jazz and soul to my songs as well as exploiting my vocal range by composing expansive melodies. I also enjoy writing solo piano music, favoring a style that is delicate and atmospheric.
My main passion outside music is Cuban Salsa. I enjoy going to classes as well as dancing socially. Despite being relatively new to it, I have begun teaching within the Tiempo Espana Dance Academy and continue training there to qualify to teach at a higher level.
