For as long as I can remember, I’ve been into music. I was raised on classic rock, growing up immersed in the sounds of The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin, which feeds into my passion for Rock, Blues and Americana music. All the other girls at school wanted to be princesses; I just wanted to be a rock star. I’ve been gigging and writing original material since I was 15, initially in and around my hometown of Oxford at local festivals and pubs.
In 2013 I moved to Leeds, from which point I began tackling the Leeds music scene and I haven’t stopped since. Be it with my band playing original rock music, or with my acoustic playing some stripped back covers, gigging is my one true passion. My music taste and style has a mixture of Americana/Country to Pop, Rock, Folk and Blues.
I’m always rushing round doing something. I gig a lot with my five piece band, and I write and sing as part of a dance-punk band that came about through my time at college.
I’m a big reader, I love film and literature and discovering new things. I’m a bit of a wanderer at times, as I love all things spontaneous and exciting; I’m a little bit in love with the idea of getting up one day, booking a train ticket to anywhere and going on an adventure – you never know where you might end up! I also work part time in an American candy shop, which is fun because I get to meet all sorts of people from all over with a different story to tell.
