I started singing from a very young age, always along to my Dad’s record collection which included the B52s, Stevie Wonder and Ella and Louis, so I grew up with a passion for funk/blues and soul.
At school I decided to join a soulband and was with them for 5 years where I went on tours in Europe, singing the sounds of the 50s and 60s. I also sang with a Harrogate based youth saxophone orchestra, singing a mixture of bigband numbers and soul and I now front a Harrogate based band which I absolutely love.
I also have a solo singer-songwriter career where I write and perform my original songs in an acoustic setting, which is heavily influenced by jazz and I am in the process of getting a full-time band to gig with.
I am young, but feel a lot older. With the hope of becoming a full time singer, I decided to take on my with Pop and Jazz vocals and I absolutely love it. Music is a huge part of who I am but I also work at a vintage tearoom where I am a waitress and I bake specialty scones and cakes for the tearoom. I have a passion for food and love to cook in the evenings for my flatmates. I am also a keen reader and love escaping to another world in my books, I wish I could write my own.
